Allergy Free Waffles

Yummy! as a sweet breakfast or as a savoury supper

Hi all, here is the recipe for the waffles that I was asked for ( I hope your little boy likes them Karen). These are great as a breakfast with fresh fruit and honey or as a supper with rashers and roasted cherry tomatoes.

2 eating apples stewed and pureed with 2tsp soft light brown sugar
200g gluten free, wheat free plain flour (I ues Doves Farm)
2tsp baking powder
1/4tsp salt
50g dairy free margarine melted (I use Pure sunflower or soya)
140ml dairy free milk (I use coconut milk from a tetra pack it tastes much the same as dairy milk)

Place all the dry ingredients into a bowl and give it a mix.
Pour the melted margarine and milk into the apple puree and mix well then, pour this mixture into the dry ingredients and mix well with a hand mixer. This should form a nice smooth thick batter.
Spoon the batter into the waffle maker make sure not to put too much in leave room to expand.
I like to serve them with whatever fresh fruit is in the fruit bowl and honey.
If you make these I would love to hear what you think about them!! Enjoy Marie 🙂
