Allergy Free Waffles
2 eating apples stewed and pureed with 2tsp soft light brown sugar
200g gluten free, wheat free plain flour (I ues Doves Farm)
2tsp baking powder
50g dairy free margarine melted (I use Pure sunflower or soya)
140ml dairy free milk (I use coconut milk from a tetra pack it tastes much the same as dairy milk)
Place all the dry ingredients into a bowl and give it a mix.
Pour the melted margarine and milk into the apple puree and mix well then, pour this mixture into the dry ingredients and mix well with a hand mixer. This should form a nice smooth thick batter.
Spoon the batter into the waffle maker make sure not to put too much in leave room to expand.
I like to serve them with whatever fresh fruit is in the fruit bowl and honey.
